Lisa Nicole Lopes (May 27, 1971 – April 25, 2002), better known by her stage name Left Eye, was an American rapper, singer, dancer, songwriter, and member of the R&B girl group TLC.
Lopes contributed her own self-written raps to many of TLC’s past singles, including “Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg“, “What About Your Friends“, “Hat 2 da Back“, “Waterfalls” and “Girl Talk“. She was also known for wearing a pair of glasses with a condom in place of the left eye lens in the beginning of her career, which was one of the ways she promoted safe sex. Lopes got the nickname “Left Eye” from Michael Bivins of Bel Biv Devoe, who often commented, “It’s your left eye! There’s something about your left eye!” He thought it was “slantier” than the other eye, and therefore prettier. He began to call her “Left Eye.” Lisa’s original nickname was QT, but when she needed a nickname beginning with L she chose Left Eye.[3]

2.Sen1989::So Steph Jones, everyone knows you and that your into a lot of diffrrent aspects of the entertainment field. How did you get your start?
Honestly man it just took me coming out to LA and being in the mix of everything. I’ve always been a hard worker since I was a kid and I know how to build relationships so with all of that plus timing something was bound to happen.
3. Sen1989:We all know that you were signed to Ludacris Disturbing da peace label but then you left…Can you telll me why?
I left because I felt myself changing as an artist in order to fit a certain type brand on a label and the fit just didn’t seem right in the end so I requested a release. I didn’t leave on bad terms though, I still like and respect all those cats there.
4. Sen1989:Whats it like having such a funny guy like DeRay Davis as a brother{laugh}?
Well its normal to me because that’s brother so I’ve grown up with that but to be honest my whole family is nutz likethat.
5.Sen1989:You were signed to Ford Models, one of the biggest agencies….Whats the process of getting signed and how do you feel about magazines like GQ that really lack cultural diversity in their magazine?
I’m still signed to them and I just shot a Reebok campaign a month ago. As far as the magazines go that are lacking cultural diversity, I thinks it much further along now than it was 30yrs ago and slowly but surely they are starting to get hip so it is what it is.
6. Sen1989::B.Scott is really a character and a renaissance man….How did you meet him?
I met B Scott at venice beach while I was shooting a documentary. It was nothing big, I just walked over and said what up because I had recognized him from the internet and we started talking about the industry then he invited me to come on his show. That was pretty much it
7. Sen1989:Have you announced to the public that your dating Jordan Sparks {smile}?
Do you actually think I’m gonna cheat on my wife Music?? I’m married to music and we make sweet melody love every day and night (smile)
8. Sen1989:A awesome guy like Steph Jones spent 25 months in a French prison!!? Why? How did that change your life?
A long story short I just didn’t snitch on some dangerous people when the authorities wanted me to so they gave me time for not cooperating when they wanted me to. 25 months in a french prison change my life because it taught me how to quiet my mind and redirect my focus in life.
9. Sen1989:{LOL} Whats a cornbread casserole? Do I need to eat that to get muscles like you?
Ha ha ha Cornbread Casserole is my favorite dish that my mom makes that’s made up of sweet cornbread, pasta, chicken, and cheese. P.S. To get muscles like me you either have to have it in your genetics or workout hard in the gym.
10. Sen1989:Do you watch Real Housewives of Atlanta? I’ve never seen it but my homegirl Candy is on it.
11. Sen1989:What is are you working on now?
I have a reality show in development and I’m dropping my first mixtape which is more like an album October 12th. The title of it is called “GRAVITY”

your very busy, With so many styles already out, how did you come up
with your unique designs?
Thanks! and i really appreciate you interviewing me! I came up with my
designs easily just playing around with fabrics and a hot glue gun.
Sen1989: Did you always know that you wanted to be a designer?
In many aspects i did! but as of last year i decided to tottaly claim
my self as a designer to atleast get my name in the buinsess.
Sen1989: I have seen a lot of celebs rocking the Steve Boi sunglasses
like Steph Jones and Eva Marcille. What celeb were you most excited to
see wearing your designs?
I would love love love to see Grace Jones rock them! that would put me
in a Coma.
Sen1989: All of your sunglasses are handmade?…wow! Is that hard to do Mr.Boi?
Actually the ones that are handmade now, are the ones made for the
celebs. the ones that are made for my amazing customers are made in my
manufactory.
but yes their still done by hand.
Sen1989: Alof of people don’t know this but you have recorded a few
song too right?
yes im also a musician traveled the world Blah blah boring! but my
music is another great way i express my self.
Sen1989: Will you be doing any advertising? I am sure a lot people
would love to model your designs.
at the moment im only working with celebs to advertise to ensure i
break the ice between diffrent communites and backgrounds. Also im
working with a mass media company to put up a billboard in Newyork.
