I think the song was excellent because it got some of the todays biggest stars together to record a song that is helping support someone other than themselves! A lot of people keep trashing the remake saying it was horrible, just because it was not made exactly like the one in the 80’s does not mean it is garbage! This is 2010 we use auto-tune, rappers are mega icons that have powerful influence! The song shouldn’t be about the people chosen to sing in it or the fact that there are rappers in the new version! The most important thing is that the new song will raise money to help support Haiti and I really think it will, Quincy Jones knew what he was doing by choosing people like Kayne West, Pink, Lil Wayne, Mary J. Blige, and many more!
